Joining the waitlist does not create an app account or guarantee beta access. The separate Longcut map application has its own Privacy & data notice, including its account and location features.

What this website collects

The waitlist saves your email address, a generated record identifier, and signup time. If you choose to answer, it also saves your first name, broad region, outdoor interests, trip frequency, phone type, and interest in iPhone beta testing. It records the separate marketing choice and the consent wording version shown at signup. The form does not request precise location, trip history, payment details, or a password.

Cloudflare receives connection information, such as network address and browser request information, to host and protect this website. The waitlist database stores temporary submission counters keyed by a one-way keyed hash of the connection address, rather than the raw address. Expired counters are removed as the service is used.

Why it is collected

Your email lets the operator contact you about the waitlist and launch. Optional answers help prioritize the places and experiences Longcut is built for. Beta interest allows contact about potential testing, without promising access or timing. The separate, unchecked updates box is optional consent for occasional marketing emails; you can join without selecting it.

No automated email, email-address verification, or mailing-service integration is currently configured. Submitting the same address again keeps the original answers and contact choices. There is no self-service preference or unsubscribe link yet; use the contact process below.

Providers and access

The public website uses Cloudflare Workers for hosting and Cloudflare D1 for the waitlist database. The operator manages responses through protected Cloudflare account access. Responses are not displayed as a public list. Cloudflare processes data to provide its services under its own privacy policy.

Email sent to a getlongcut.com contact address is forwarded by Porkbun to the operator's Gmail inbox. Those providers process your address, message, and attachments to deliver it. Replies currently come from joshuajaggerruiz@gmail.com. Send only what is needed for your request. External links lead to services with their own privacy practices. The separate local development preview uses its own database on the development computer; it is not the public signup database.

Cookies and tracking

The public signup form does not require an account cookie and has no advertising, consumer analytics, external fonts, or third-party client scripts. Cloudflare still processes operational requests. The website does not change its behavior in response to a browser Do Not Track signal. Provider practices concerning association of information across other services have not been independently verified; this notice does not promise that every third party never tracks activity.

Retention and recovery copies

No automatic expiry or fixed deletion schedule is currently configured for waitlist responses. Records remain in the live database until the operator removes them, including in response to a verified removal request. A general fixed retention period for support email and provider operational logs has not been established or independently verified.

Cloudflare documents automatic D1 recovery history of up to seven days on its Free plan. Removing a live signup does not immediately erase every provider recovery copy. There is no separate scheduled export or custom backup job for this waitlist. See Cloudflare's recovery documentation for provider details.

Review, correct, remove, or stop contact

Email privacy@getlongcut.com from the address you used to ask for a copy, correction, removal, or to stop contact. You can also contact joshuajaggerruiz@gmail.com directly. Requests are handled manually, and control of the address may need to be verified before private information is disclosed or changed. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, or sensitive travel information.

There is no separate suppression list or consent-change history in this version. If a removed address is submitted again, that creates a new signup with the choices submitted at that time.
